
Ethiopian Enterprise Development and Ethio-Engineering Group Sign Strategic Agreement to Strengthen Manufacturing Enterprises
Addis Ababa, Hidar 18, 2018 E.C. — Ethiopian Enterprise Development (EED) and the Ethio-Engineering Group (EEG) have entered into a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing the competitiveness and capacity of small and medium manufacturing enterprises across the country.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Abdulfeta Yesuf, Deputy Director General of EED, and Colonel Shegaw Mulugeta, Chief Executive Officer of the Ethio-Engineering Group.
Through this partnership, the two institutions will integrate their technological capabilities and professional expertise to support manufacturing enterprises in areas such as technology and machinery supply, innovation and prototype development, machine production, and commissioning services. The collaboration is expected to significantly contribute to building a stronger, more competitive manufacturing sector.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Abdulfeta Yesuf noted that the Ethio-Engineering Group, as a major technology-driven institution, plays a key role in addressing the production capacity gaps faced by small and medium enterprises. He emphasized that the agreement will help revive enterprises that have ceased operations due to machinery or technical challenges, while also boosting their overall productivity and performance.
He added that the partnership will also contribute to the development of professional skills within the sector, highlighting the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure effective implementation.

Colonel Shegaw Mulugeta, CEO of the Ethio-Engineering Group, affirmed his institution’s commitment to utilizing its experience and advanced technologies to strengthen the competitiveness of domestic enterprises. He stated that EEG will provide the necessary support and follow-up to ensure the agreement delivers meaningful and measurable outcomes, including the establishment of a dedicated monitoring structure.
EED and EEG expressed their shared commitment to ensuring that the agreement translates into practical, impactful results that contribute to national manufacturing development.
