
SME Finance Project Successfully Completed
Addis Ababa, August 29, 2025 (EED)-The Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Finance Project, implemented by Ethiopian Enterprise Development (EED) over the past eight years, has been successfully completed.

The project has provided critical support to small and medium manufacturing enterprises through machine lease financing, working capital loans, business development services, and related interventions.

At the official closing program, Mr. Pawlos Berga, Deputy Director General of EED, highlighted the project’s major achievements. He emphasized that by providing machine lease financing, the project enabled manufacturing enterprises to access modern technologies, thereby playing a significant role in enhancing their competitiveness.

He further noted that the provision of working capital loans and business development training has directly contributed to increasing the productivity and efficiency of SMEs, strengthening their role in the national economy.

In closing, EED extended its appreciation to the project coordinators, technical experts, and all partners for their invaluable contributions to the success of the project and to the advancement of the sector.
