Training Provided for SME Owners on the newly developed E-Commerce Platform

A capacity-building training was provided in Addis Ababa for owners of small and medium manufacturing enterprises on the use of an E-commerce platform developed to support enterprise growth.
Dr. Alebachew Nigussie, Director General of EED, emphasized that the e-commerce system plays a vital role in expanding both domestic and international market access for Ethiopian enterprises.
The platform, designed to enhance digital trading capabilities, is expected to significantly support enterprise competitiveness and visibility in the digital economy.
Following the training, enterprises are expected to actively use the platform. EED officials highlighted that they will continue to provide technical support to ensure effective usage and impact.
In this initial round, 50 SME owners participated in the training.
The e-commerce platform was developed by C-SM Africom, a consulting firm, in collaboration with the Ethiopian Postal Service, under the Small and Medium Enterprise Finance Project
